Downton Abbey Fans - dont miss this one! Before heading off to Highclere Castle (Downton Abbeys real name) We should have time for lunch in a cosy thatched pub built in 1669 - a regular haunt of a certain Mr Charles Dickens no less! Great Menu and sound value for money. Main event will be Highclere Castle we aim to arrive around 2.30 pm and will spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the house, grounds and gardens.
